Turbo Impregnation

1. First clean the surface thoroughly with the Roof Shampoo quick cleaner in combination with a high-pressure cleaner.
2. Mask off, pre-treat or shield surfaces that are not to be treated.
3. Apply Turbo Impregnation.

• During warmer periods, spray the facade wet the day before impregnating so that it is less absorbent the next day and work can be done more economically.
• It can sometimes be difficult to see which part has been treated and which has not. In masonry it helps to mark the strips to be treated with glass point pins in the joints.
• Masking works well with “3833 Kip and 3688 Protective Film + Kip Masking Tape Washi-Tec – 3608 Gold”.
• Mask the sides of the solar panels in advance with “Kip Masking Tape Washi-Tec – 3608 Gold – 48mm”.
• The trick is to apply as sparingly as possible and not to flow in advance. With an electric paint sprayer you can work very sparingly.
• Do not work in the hot sun, but rather in the shade.
• Consumption is approximately 17 m2 per litre with an economical spray method.
• Instead of masking. With our thickener you can thicken water and apply it to the windows as protection and apply it again after impregnation and remove it immediately with a squeegee. Wipe the frames with a dry cloth.
• When impregnating the facade, cover the terrace partly if you do not want to see dry spots during rainy days.
• Please note that the Turbo Impregnator does not come on bare frames/wooden parts where the paint is gone and still has to be painted later. Because once it is impregnated, most paint will no longer adhere.
• For treating the roof we recommend our backpack electric 15L sprayer with special impregnation spray nozzle for economical use.

There is a lot involved in an impregnation treatment. In order to make a quote/price indication, certain information is needed to determine the plan of approach, to estimate man hours, to determine which resources are needed, such as a cherry picker or scaffolding, and to determine which roof coating treatment suits your needs. Below are the points that are important when making a price indication or quote for impregnation treatments.

● Clear view of the roof all around in terms of accessibility, estimate of the amount of work.

● Are there algae, moss and lichen present? To what extent?

● What year was the building built? How old is the surface to be treated?

● Which material needs to be impregnated?

● Have the surfaces to be treated been impregnated in the past?

● What is the address of the property in terms of travel times?

● Is there a water and electricity connection available?

The great thing about Turbo Impregnation is that it is not subject to degradation by external influences. Tests show that it can only be removed mechanically or by using the Turbo Impregnation remover in combination with a high-pressure cleaner. The treatment only needs to be carried out once and not again after 10 years.

Can it harm my windows?

If it has dried on the glass it will be visible. It is important to prevent this.

Impregnating is easy to do yourself. It is important to read the information on this page carefully.

In one layer and as economically as possible in advance, as long as the surface is completely covered.

It is also possible to use the Turbo Impregnation in combination with a paint roller.

A water-repellent effect is not the same as a beading effect. Our impregnating agents offer a water-repellent effect but the surface remains breathable.

With liquid impregnation agents you have to keep masking. There are some tips to avoid having to mask. One way that is recommended is to thicken water with our thickener and to smear the window and frames with it. Then after impregnation, wash the window again with the same substance and then wipe it off and remember to first wipe the frame with a clean microfiber cloth before you wipe the windows last.
