User Manual

  • Depending on the substrate, Turbo Impregnant can be applied with a brush/brush on very rough materials or with a roller (reserved for small areas) or with a pressure sprayer with a variable spray head. The water-repellent performance of the substrate depends on the quantity applied to the surface.

Windows/glass(any painting) should be protected before applying the product
  • Turbo Impregnator must be applied at an ambient temperature of at least + 5 °C and a relative humidity of 30%-80%. Apply the product in dry conditions and never in the rain.

Frequently Asked Questions

» Meer lezen

Do you have a step-by-step plan for impregnating my roof, facade or patio?

  1. First thoroughly clean the surface with the Roof Shampoo Quick Cleaner combined with a pressure washer.
  2. Tape, pretreat or shield surfaces not to be treated.
  3. Apply Turbo Impregnator.

Tips to consider

  • In warmer periods, spray the facade wet a day before impregnation so that it is less absorbent the next day and more economical work can be done.
  • It can sometimes be difficult to tell which part was already treated and which was not. In masonry, it helps to mark jobs to be treated with glass point pins in the joints.
  • Masking goes well with “3833 Kip and 3688 Protective Film +Kip Painting Tape Washi-Tec – 3608 Gold “.
  • Cover the sides of solar panels in advance with “Kip Painting Tape Washi-Tec – 3608 Gold – 48mm”.
  • The trick is to apply as sparingly as possible and not to flow in advance. An electric paint sprayer can be used very economically.
  • Do not work in the hot sun but rather in the shade.
  • Consumption is approximately 17 m2 per liter with an economical spray method.
  • Instead of masking. With our thickener, you can thicken water and apply it to the windows as protection, and after impregnation, apply it again and wipe off directly with a wiper. Wipe the window frames with a dry cloth.
  • When impregnating the facade, cover the patio a bit if you do not want to see dry patches in times of rain.
  • Be careful not to apply Turbo Impregnator to bare window frames/wooden parts where the paint is off and will need to be painted later. Because once it has been impregnated, most paint will no longer adhere.
  • For treating the roof, we recommend our back-carried electric 15L sprayer with special impregnation nozzle to work economically.

I want to request a quote to have the impregnation treatment done. What should I think about?

Impregnation treatment involves a lot of work. In order to draw up a quote/price indication, certain information is required to determine the plan of action, estimate man-hours, determine what tools are needed such as an aerial platform or scaffolding and determine which roof coating treatment suits your needs. Below are the points that are important when providing a price estimate or quote for impregnation treatments. Clear view of the roof all around for accessibility, estimate amount of work. Is there algae, moss and lichen present? To what extent? What is the year of construction of the building? How old is the surface to be treated? ● What material is to be impregnated? ● Have the surfaces to be treated been impregnated in the past? ● What is the address of the property due to travel times? ● Is there a water and electricity connection available?

How long does it remain effective?
The beauty of Turbo Impregnator is that it is not subject to degradation by outside influences. Tests show that it can only be removed by machine or by using the Turbo Impregnating Remover in combination with a pressure washer. The treatment only needs to be carried out once and not again after 10 years.

Can it hurt my windows?
If it has dried in on the glass it will show. It is important to avoid this.

Can I also impregnate my roof, facade or terrace myself?
Impregnation is easy to do yourself. It is important to read the information on this page carefully.

How many layers of liquid impregnating agent to apply?
In one coat and in advance as sparingly as possible, as long as the surface is hit completely opaque.

The sides of the roof tiles along the windrows.
It is also possible to use the Turbo Impregnator in combination with a paint roller.

Water repellent, is that the same as a repellent effect?
A water-repellent effect is not the same as a beading effect. Our impregnants offer a water-repellent effect but the surface remains breathable.

Masking or not masking?
With liquid impregnants, you have to keep taping. There are some tips for not having to tape. One way that is recommended is to thicken water with our thickener and rub the window and frames with it. Then after impregnating, wash the window again with the same stuff and then wipe it down and remember to wipe the window frame with a clean microfiber cloth before wiping the windows last.

What are the benefits of impregnating my roof, facade or patio yourself

  • Doing it yourself including cleaning with the Roof Shampoo Quick Cleaner costs €5 per m2. Outsourcing costs approximately €20 per m2.
  • If you do it yourself you can be sure that it will all be hit properly and will not skimp on materials.
