DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner improves the natural appearance of the substrate, deepens the colours and adds shine. DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner makes the substrate water, dirt and grease repellent, making it very easy to clean. DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner can be applied to both floors and walls and retains the natural feel of the substrate. Depending on the application method, a glossy or matt finish can be obtained. DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner is vapour-permeable to prevent cracking, blistering and detachment.

User
Make the surface clean, dry and dust-free.
Apply a thin layer of DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner to the surface with a roller, microfibre cloth or flat mop.
Allow DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner to react with the surface for 15 minutes and then remove the excess material with a clean microfibre cloth or flat mop.
Apply a second coat after 24 hours for improved durability. Follow the same procedure.
Drying
Drying: 10 minutes to 24 hours depending on ambient temperature and layer thickness
Theoretical consumption
- 20-100 m²/l depending on the absorption of the substrate
- 5 m²/l on porous roof tiles (two layers)
- 10-15 m²/l on masonry exterior walls (one layer)
Practical information
• Do not dilute or mix with other products.
• Do not exceed the recommended consumption and apply several very thin layers for best results.
• Remove spilled liquids or food residues as soon as possible to prevent stains.
• Surfaces treated with DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner can be cleaned after complete curing using a neutral (floor) cleaner. Prolonged contact with a strong alkaline or solvent-based cleaner can damage the coating.
• Cracks, scratches or other damage can easily be repaired by cleaning the surface and removing any dust and then applying a new layer of DAKSHAMPOO® Wetlook Shiner. This can also be done locally.
• In places with intensive (foot) traffic, the coating will wear out faster and will need to be repaired sooner as described above.
Storage and shelf life
Shelf life: at least 12 months in original unopened packaging. Store in a cool, frost-free place.

What should I pay attention to?

Answer:
During drying, the material must be protected from moisture. In contact with moisture, excess material that is not yet dry can crystallize. On dense substrates, excess material can remain wet for a few days. On porous materials, the drying time is approximately 3 hours.
How to prevent?
- Recommended application up to 70% humidity (40-60% is ideal)
- Recommended application up to 28°C (15-22°C is ideal)
- Excess material may crystallize when exposed to moisture during drying
- Apply as little material as possible to dense surfaces or polish completely with a dry cloth
How to remove?
- Isopropanol 99%
- With soft nylon brush
- Test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Moisten the brush with isopropanol (do not pour directly onto the roof!).
- Scrub gently in circular motions (no hard pressure).
- Rinse immediately with water to remove alcohol residue.
More tips:
- Let the surface dry very well first <5%
- Pressure: 1,5–2 bar (fine mist, no drops)
- Distance: 30–50 cm from the roof
- Horizontal passes (50% overlap between lanes)
- Do not spray “wet” – surface should appear moderately damp (no drip marks)
- Ideal: 15–25°C, no wind, cloudy (no direct sun)
- Stop in rain or <10°C / >30°C
- 3-48 hours drying time (protected from rain) depending on the substrate and layer thickness
- Spray on 1–2 pans and check for rash after 72 hours
- There is less accumulation of material on roof tiles because they slope downwards

Key factors for sustainability:
The “wet look” effect of the Wetlook Shiner lasts on average 5 to 10 years, depending on:
- UV, rain, frost
- Roof pitch, the steeper, the faster the wear
- Porous tiles last longer > Old clay tiles > concrete tiles
- Correctly applied = longer effect > 2 thin layers > 1 thick layer
- Cleaning extends lifespan > Rinse annually
The advice is to take into account that the treatment of roof tiles should be repeated after approximately 10 years. Over the years, the wet effect will degrade. The degradation process depends on the layer thickness and external influences. The product can be applied quite easily to create the wet effect again. Now that is easy on a facade because the facade is usually still clean enough, but with roof tiles and terraces, this usually has to be sprayed off with a high-pressure cleaner first, but since the impregnation effect is still active, cleaning will be much easier.

The advice is to take into account that the treatment should be repeated after 15 years to reactivate the impregnation effect. During the 15 years the impregnation effect will degrade. The degradation process depends on the layer thickness and external influences.
How can I treat my car with this?

The car must be thoroughly clean so that no other agents are present in the surface. The surface must be able to absorb the Wetlook Shiner well and not be applied over another agent such as wax. Use 3 microfiber cloths. A small cloth for applying the agent. A second clean larger cloth for removing the excess material and a third clean cloth for removing the last bit of material. Do not apply the material in the hot sun. Apply per element and let it work for a short time. Do not let it work for too long as the material becomes increasingly viscous and it becomes more difficult to polish or remove the excess material.
How long do the effects last on cars?

The effects remain visible for between 1-5 years depending on the method of application and the degree of friction caused by the washing method (laundry or manual) and whether the car is stored indoors or outdoors.
