Is high pressure cleaning harmful for your patio?

Pressure washers have been around for over a century. Nilfisk has been producing them since the 80s, Kärcher since 1950, and DiBO since 1978. That's over 150 years of combined experience in high-pressure technology. With these machines proven over so many years, you can be confident they're safe for your roof – provided you use the right technology.
🎯 This is what we learned in 12 years (and now for free)
● Every year Pressure washing the patio makes it increasingly porous.
● Pressure is not the enemy: A deep cleaning of the patio with a pressure washer once is fine, but be sure to use a patio cleaner and don't be afraid of dirt.
● High pressure only? Without pretreatment with Dakshampoo®, it barely cleans. Too much pressure damages the surface without cleaning it completely.
● Combination wins: Water + chemicals = deeper cleaning with less water power. Separately, they work less effectively.
● Coating requires pressure: Without high pressure and Dakshampoo®, coating or impregnation is not possible. Foaming or spraying alone is insufficient.
● Foaming is endless: Foaming or spraying alone never cleanses down to the capillaries. Repetition is (literally) endless.
● High pressure downplayed? By people without experience or the necessary knowledge. Deep cleaning is more intensive, difficult, and safe.

On our website we distinguish two impregnation treatments. Not because we want to sell more products, but because there are two different wishes .
Impregnating with nanotechnology (Turbo Impregnation)
For whom: You want pure, lasting protection. Nothing more, nothing less.
What it does:
Permanent water and dirt repellent effect
Does not degrade due to outside influences
No need for repetition after years
Suitable for all mineral surfaces.
The result: Your patio is invisibly protected. Dirt doesn't stick. Water beads up. You won't notice a thing, except that you'll never have to scrub again.

Another tip: Impregnation works best on a super clean Terrace. Always use a cleaner (Roof Shampoo Quick Cleaner or Algae Remover) before impregnating. Any dirt you impregnate will remain permanently.
You'll see the word "permanent" here. We don't use it lightly.
This means: The product's effectiveness is not affected by UV radiation, rain, frost, or temperature fluctuations. What's protected today stays protected. Forever.
This does not mean: Your patio will never get dirty again. Algae can still adhere to the protective layer due to moisture, but it's much less likely to happen. And if it does happen, it's much easier to remove.
